We are .....
a statewide advocacy network that mobilizes Unitarian Universalists and their congregations to work for public policies in the state of Oregon that embody our UU principles of justice, equity, compassion in human relations and global stewardship.
Oregon UU Voices for Justice is one of fifteen statewide UU advocacy networks nationwide. Learn more here.
We envision an Oregon that provides justice and equity for all its residents; empowers its residents to participate in the process of government; embodies respect, fairness, and equity; provides opportunities for everyone to thrive; and affirms the sanctity of the built and natural environments (Sept. 28, 2012; rev January 9, 2016)
“Congregations Acting For Justice Together”
We educate and encourage Oregon Unitarian Universalists to act for policies that promote respect, equity, compassion and global stewardship.
We seek to empower Oregon Unitarian Universalists and their congregations to join or support partnerships and coalitions with similar values.
Oregon Unitarian Universalist Voices for Justice is organized with a board of directors. The Board once a year calls our annual membership meeting. At that meeting, we jointly agree what our focus shall be for the coming year.
