Rep. John Conyers and 44 members of Congress re-introduced the "Expanded and Improved Medicare For All", act into the 114th session of Congress on Feb. 3, 2015. Rep. Conyers has introduced this legislation during each sessions since 2003.
In a press release, Rep. Conyers noted that "Under H.R. 676, every resident of the United States would receive a card at birth that would guarantee access to a full range of medically-necessary services that include primary care, dental, prescription drugs, mental health and long term care. The bill places no restrictions on choice of physician or health care provider."
No Oregon Representative is among the co-sponsors. While 4 more hvae joined in co-sponsoring, none of them are from Oregon.
